Jeff Locke pitched six innings and struck out seven batters while allowing just one run in a winning effort. Starling Marte had two hits and a walk, and Brandon Boggs added a pair of hits of his own to get his early season batting average up to .295.

The Curve collected just four hits and committed three errors in a losing effort. Tony Sanchez had two hits and is hitting .290 this spring. He scored the only run of the day for Altoona and he was driven in by Elvys Gonzalez. Nathan Baker made the start and had a rough go of it for the first time this year, going just 2.2 innings and allowing five runs (four earned).
