Wednesday 4 /11 Minor League Roundup

AAA Indianapolis | Indianapolis 8 Columbus 6
Justin Wilson had a nice outing for the Indians striking out seven batters in 6.2 innings. He gave up five hits and allowed just one run in a winning effort. Brandon Boggs hit his third home run of the season, Starling Marte had a hit and a run scored, Eric Fryer added two hits to bring his spring average to .450, and Jordy Mercer had 2 RBI.

AA Altoona | postponed

A West Virginia | Asheville 10 West Virginia 6
Josh Bell got his first professional home run, a three run bomb in the fifth inning, and Gregory Polanco hit a dinger of his own to provide some good offense for the Power. Unfortunately, the pitchers didn't follow suit and gave up 10 runs on 14 hits. The starter was Mike Jefferson, and he gave up five earned runs in 3.1 innings before being yanked for Trent Stevenson, who gave up an unearned run in 2.2 innings of work.

A Bradenton | Palm Beach 10 Bradenton 4
A.J. Burnett made another rehab start for Bradenton and had a rough go of it. He went just 1.2 innings giving up eight runs (five earned) on five hits while walking one and striking out four. Not exactly what you'd expect from a big leaguer in A ball, but it's probably nothing to be worried about. Alex Dickerson had three hits on the day (all singles) and Evan Chambers added a pair.
