Sunday 4/15 Minor League Roundup



AAA Indianapolis | Game 1 - Indianapolis 9 Toledo 2
The Indians won game one of their doubleheader today with Toledo and had a pretty big offensive game. Brandon Boggs and Eric Fryer both had two hit nights. Jaramey Farrell had a three RBIs on a double and two walks. Starling Marte also joined Farrell with a double. On the mound, Jo-Jo Reyes allowed two runs on seven hits across 5.2 innings of work. He also struck out five batters. Bryan Morris got in 1.1 innings of scoreless relief.

AAA Indianapolis | Game 2 - Toledo 9 Indianapolis 2
Game two did not go as well and the team dropped this one in ten innings. Rudy Owens had a nice start on the mound, working through seven innings. He gave up two earned runs on two solo homers, and struck out four batters. Jose Diaz and Tim Wood both got banged up for one run each. Jaremy Farrell was the only Indian to collect multiple hits. Kris Watts was one for three with a double and an RBI.

AA Altoona | Richmond 3 Altoona 1
The Curve dropped their second in a row to Richmond this afternoon as they fell to 4-5 on the season. Aaron Pribanic got the start and allowed two earned runs on four hits across five innings of work. Kris Johnson and Duke Welker both pitched scoreless innings. At the plate, the Curve were only able to push one run across on five hits. The RBI came off the bat of Brock Holt. Quincy Latimore and Robbie Grossman both hit doubles.

A West Virginia | West Virginia 9 Greenville 6
The Power managed to defeat Greenville today despite getting out hit. Red hot Alen Hanson went three for four with a home run and three RBIs. Gregory Polanco also hit his fourth home run of the season as he also had three RBIs. Nick Kingham got the start on the hill and pitched a nice four innings only allowing one run on four hits. Trent Stevenson had a rough day giving up five runs on six hits in his first inning of work, then threw two scoreless to follow.

A Bradenton | Bradenton 10 Palm Beach 1
The Marauders crushed the ball all over the field today. Every player in the starting lineup collected a hit. Carlos Paulino hit a three run bomb and Drew Maggi and Even Chambers both had two hits a piece. Hunter Strickland struck out six  while having a great start on the mound. Despite allowing seven hits, Strickland did not give up any runs across six innings of work. Eliecer Navarro surrendered the only run in his three innings of relief.
