  • The Pirates are on a two game winning streak. James McDonald and Brad Lincoln teamed up to go seven innings giving up just one run as the Pirates beat the Diamondbacks 2-1. [Recap]
  • I write this post yesterday talking about how bad free agent signings have been at helping the Pirates offensively. We're all hoping that Rod Barajas and Clint Barmes break that trend, but to this point it doesn't look very likely.
  • Jeff Locke had a nice game last night striking out eight batters in six innings while earning a win. Here's the box score.
  • The Pirates are off today but start a six game home stand tomorrow night when they take on the World Champion St. Louis Cardinals. After that they'll play three games with the Rockies before hitting the road again. A 4-2 record in those games would put them at 9-9, and probably near the top of the division the way things are going early on this year.
