Thursday 6/7 Minor League Roundup

AAA Indianapolis | Pawtucket 5 Indianapolis 3
Starling Marte had another quiet day going 0/4, but Jeff Clement didn't follow suit. He hit another double in a 1/4 performance that lowered his batting average to .319. Tony Sanchez had a double and is hitting .286 in his first week with Indy. Chase d'Arnaud had an RBI single and he's hitting the ball well of late. Jeff Karstens made the rehab start here and pitched 4.1 innings giving up two earned runs on three hits. He left the game in the fifth with a leg injury. Keep an eye out for a report on that.

AA Altoona | Altoona 7 Reading 1
Brock Holt had the Curve's only extra base hit with a double, but Altoona bunched them up nicely and got seven runs on nine hits in their win over the Reading Phillies. Jarek Cunningham, Quincy Latimore, and Jeremy Farrell all joined Holt with two hit games. Phil Irwin made the start and did a great job giving up just one run in six innings. He struck out two and walked one.
