Chase d'Arnaud doubled and knocked in three runs in the Indians win. Starling Marte had a single in four at bats and is hitting .270 on the year. The story was Jeff Locke, who pitched 5.2 innings and gave up just two runs on eight hits. He struck out four and walked a pair. Bryan Morris pitched three scoreless innings for the save, lowering his ERA to 2.45 on the year.

AA Altoona | Altoona 7 Trenton 6
The Curve's top four batters (Robbie Grossman, Brock Holt, Jarek Cunningham, and Miles Durham) all doubled and the Curve got a big win. Grossman had three hits, Cunningham drove in two, and Jeremy Farrell added an RBI from the bottom of the order. Nathan Baker started and gave up six runs (five earned) on eight hits in 4.2 innings. He struck out five but gave up two home runs.

Alen Hanson and Gregory Polanco both his solo home runs but the Power couldn't get any pitching once again. Robby Rowland gave up five runs in four innings while striking out three. Mike Jefferson didn't help him out in relief giving up three more runs in 2.1 innings as the Power dropped another game.

Gerrit Cole made another case for a promotion pitching six scoreless innings and striking out seven. He allowed just three hits and got his ERA down to 2.55 and his record to 5-1. Daniel McCutchen made a rehab appearance and pitched two innings giving up just one hit. The offense came from a few different guys. Seven different players had hits. Alex Dickerson had two hits including a double and Justin Howard had two hits including a triple. Andy Vasquez also doubled and drove in two on the night.
