Monday 6/11 Minor League Roundup

AAA Indianapolis | Indianapolis 16 Rochester 0
The scoreboard tells the story here. The Indians had 17 hits and scored 16 runs when they only needed one to win the game. They did it all without the help of a home run too. Starling Marte was the main contributor, collecting three hits and coming up just a home run short of the cycle. He had 2 RBI. Brandon Boggs was the other three hit contributor, he doubled and singled twice. Yamaico Navarro had two hits, three RBI and three runs scored. Chase d'Arnaud was the only starter not to get a hit. Justin Wilson pitched great to boot going seven shutout innings and giving up just four hits while fanning six. Evan Meek finished the blowout off with two scoreless innings, walking two and striking out one.

AA Altoona | Did Not Play

A West Virginia | Lexington 6 West Virginia 4
Eight hits wasn't enough to take care of business as the Power dropped another game. Alen Hanson had a single, Gregory Polanco and Dan Gamache both had two hits with doubles, and Jose Osuna and Junior Sosa knocked in runs. The pitcher was Zack Von Rosenberg, who is one guy we don't want to see getting knocked around. Von Rosenberg pitched just four innings and gave up six runs while striking out just four. Zachary Fuesser matched him with four innings and didn't give up any runs.

A Bradenton | Jupiter 10 Bradenton 5
Eliecer Navarro pitched 5.2 innings and gave up four runs (three earned) on eight hits. He gave up two home runs which would come back to bite him. Gift Ngoepe had a two hit game, as would Stefan Welch. Alex Dickerson went 1/3 and got his average up to .287 as he looks for a promotion before season's end.
