7/21 Recap | Pirates 5 Marlins 1

The Pirates won their fourth straight game on Friday night despite getting only five hits.

The scoring started in the first inning when Garrett Jones grounded out and drove in Alex Presley who walked to start the inning and was moved to third on a Neil Walker double. After that, the Pirates got four runs in the fourth inning without getting a single hit. They drew four walks and two hit by pitches to put a crooked number on the board. Interesting inning for sure.

A.J. Burnett cruised through seven innings and allowed just one run. He got into a bit of a jam in the 8th and was removed with an out left to get. Brad Lincoln came in with the tying run in the on-deck circle and struck out his batter to end the inning. He then finished out the 9th to get his first career save.

Pirates go for the sweep on Sunday as Jeff Karstens takes on Anibal Sanchez.
