- The Astros have signed Chris Snyder to a one-year deal, so you can officially stop associating him with the Pirates.
- Carlos Pena finally found a home, and a familiar one at that. The Tampa Bay Rays have signed him to a one-year deal, just another power bat that the Pirates won't have to see in the division this year.
- Rantsports.com posted an article that echoes what I have been saying for awhile now, that Pedro Alvarez holds the key to the Pirates 2012 success. Again, this isn't anything that you couldn't have read a month ago right here at mceffect.com, but it's still a good read.
