Which Type Of Farm System Would You Want? (Poll)

There has been a ton of prospect talk recently in the baseball world. Keith Law is the most recent big league source to release his prospect list. He has the Pirates Gerrit Cole at #10, Jameson Taillon at #16, Josh Bell at #67, Starling Marte at #72, and Robbie Grossman at #86. Having two guys in the top 20 is nice, but not seeing another player until #67 is kind of discouraging.

The overall view of the Pirates system is that it's top heavy with some really high ceiling players, but then it falls off quickly after that. The consensus top farm system in the game belongs to the San Diego Padres. The heck of it is, the Padres don't have one player in the top 25. Their system is basically the opposite of the Pirates, with no super elite prospects, but a ton of really good mid-level guys. The Padres are loaded with guys that are really good bets to make impacts in the major leagues, just not huge ones. The Pirates have a few guys that could make major impacts in the majors, but then have a bunch of guys that could never do anything in the show.

The Pirates come up at the lower half of the top 10 in most ranking systems, Keith Law has them at #8. So I'm going to ask the question, which TYPE of farm system would you rather have? One that's top heavy without depth after that, or one with no elite prospects but a ton of depth after the top tiers. This isn't Pirates vs. Padres, it's just the two contrasting styles.
