Reds vs. Pirates, Game 12

After back-to-back walk off wins, the Pirates go for the sweep this afternoon over the Cincinnati Reds. Last night's game was a lot like Friday night's game, the Pirates scored early, and then completely shut down offensively until the 9th inning, where they have managed to do enough to win both games. The pitching has been very solid for the Bucs, and it's looking like a good chance that that will continue as Paul Maholm toes PNC Park rubber for the 2nd time this year. His opponent is Bronson Arroyo, who has gone 14 innings giving up 6 earned runs on 10 hits with 9 strikeouts so far in 2010. It's shaping up to be a pitcher's duel with more cold weather in Pittsburgh, but usually when I say that it turns into an offensive explosion.
