- The Pirates won their third straight game last night by beating the Miami Marlins 3-2. Brad Lincoln got the win, Rod Barajas homered, and Pedro Alvarez had the game winning RBI with a double in the sixth. [Recap]
- Alex Presley started and didn't register a hit; he just doesn't look like a major league player right now. That has caused me to grow anxious to see Starling Marte's big league debut. I wrote this post going into more detail about that. Also, Tim Wiliams wrote this post asking if the Pirates are slow to promote players.
- If you missed it yesterday, check out this post about how the Pirates will have to solve their offensive issues from within, and not with a trade.
- The Pirates Daily Notebook is all up to date and free. Download it here.
- Justin Wilson left his AAA start early yesterday with a groin injury. It was just tightness, so he shouldn't miss much time if any at all.
- The Pirates will go for their first four game winning streak, their first series sweep, and their first .500 record since the second series of the year tonight at 7:10. It's Kevin Correia against Josh Johnson.
