- This is the Pirates first game that's televised on ROOT Sports, and it's kind of a disappointing lineup for the masses of Pittsburgh to see first.
- The Pirates have a pretty solid five pitchers throwing today. Bedard is scheduled to throw three innings, we'll see if he can improve on his last outing in which he was very spotty.
